Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts
40° F (4.4° C). Bright, clear, crisp... a typical late autumn / early winter weather in New England.
10 days have past since my return from Singapore... only to ship out once again in six short days. But this time, it's different; I am burning the bridge. In a dramatic attempt to ensure a sound financial future, I am wrapping up my life in Boston. In six short days, I will no longer have a place to call my own... Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would be traveling halfway around the world... and say farewell, once again, to this beloved city I once called home.
This wouldn't be so stressful.. if it weren't for the uncertain nature of my future. All I know at this point is that I will be working in Singapore for some time, then perhaps in Australia. There are too many variable... with outcomes widely different from one another. Depending on how things unfold, I may end up living in one of four continents... or worse yet, live temporary lives in all four without a place to call my own.
... I keep thinking 'how did I get here?'
